Bowling

Addie has been wanting to go bowling for quite some time, so fianlly we went. The kids had such a fun time.
Yeah, I really do not like this pitcture, but the shoes look great.

Grayson had to carry his ball with him all the time, even when it was not his turn. After each roll they would run back to the ball return and wait for it to come back. It was super cute.

This is Ryan showing Grayson the proper way to use the ramp.

Addie and her pink 8lb ball (it was mine too)

Talk about form!

Not to toot my own horn or anything but I did end up winning the game with 5 yes 5 strikes (this is pretty much for you Billi) and a whomping score of 140! Ryan was next with 112, Addie with 76 and Grayson 75. --We won't mention that the side bumbpers were up.

One Cute Little Guy

So this morning while Addie was at school I was straighting up the house and Grayson had gone into Addie's room with me to put laundry away and had not followed me out. It was super quiet for a few minutes so I decided to go make sure there were no markers or lipgloss on his level and I peeked around the corner to see this....

He had put his blanket on the table for a table cloth and gotten dishes out to play with. He was playing so cute and it kept him entertained for quite a while.
--No I am not worried about my little boy playing with dishes.

Addie's Birthday Party

We had Addie's Addie's Birthday Party for her friends yesterday morning. Holy cow...chaos! It was something else. When the friends arrived we made ghosts out of white material and suckers, then played the game where you tie a balloon around your ankle and try to be the last one without you balloon popped. It was a fun idea, but Addie hates popping balloons, and threw quite a fit.
Then we had cake and ice cream. Again I let my daughter pick her cake out of a book with lots of fun cakes, and which one did she choose..... a spider web! Who wants a cute pink cake anyways. The cake was super cute. For once I was proud of my cake.

Then we had a sawdust dig in place of a pinata. It was such a fun party. She has been playing in her room for hours with her fun gifts.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADDIE!

Happy Birthday ADDIE!

Yesterday, October 16 was Addie's fourth Birthday. Wow how time fly's. She is such a sweet little girl to have in our family. Her favorite foods are "corn on the cob, and Hot Chocolate" Yes, she has hot chocolate about every other day (even in the middle of the summer). Her favorite things to do are: Play with her friends outside riding bikes, Paint, Go to school, and go to her cousins to play.

Our Trip To The Pumpkin Patch

For Family Night we ventured out to the "Big Red Barn" in Santaquin, where they take you on a tractor-pulled wagon ride to a big pumpkin patch so that you can choose your very own pumpkin. We had so much fun. It is interesting to see and hear what the kids determined to be their "perfect" pumpkin. I think we choose just the right ones for us!

And The Gender Is......

So we went in today for the 20-week ultrasound, this is always a exciting time of the pregnancy. Everything looked great: Two arms, two legs, 10 fingers 10 toes, you get the idea. It's right on track for a February 13 birthday.

Oh yeah, and we chose to let it be a delivery room surprise!

Our Trip To The Zoo!

A friend and I took our kids to the Zoo today and boy did we have a great time! I don't know what to type besides letting the pictures do the talking (and there are a lot of them).Tyler, Grayson, Addie and Sydni.

Me and the kids by the bronze gorilla.

Addie, Sydni and Grayson by the Zebras. (yes all two of them)

We got there early enough that it was feeding time for some of the animals and that is always fun for everyone.

So when we got home I asked Addie what her favorite part of the zoo was. Don't even try to guess. She said "the bats" are you kidding, the whole time we were looking at the bats I had the willies, and that was her favorite! She also loves the big spiders and the massive snakes that I really could pass up at visits to the zoo. I sure hope she grows out of this before she realizes you can buy those for pets at pet stores.

SICK!

Grayson measuring up to the Gorilla.

Addie hatching out of the egg at the playground.

Of course you have to take a ride on the train!

So this picture....... yeah don't know what to think. I did not take this picture so I am guessing that Addie did. I am hoping it is an empty exhibit and that is a stuffed animal monkey because it does not look too lively.

Family Photos

Yesterday my sister took some fun family pictures for us. She did a great job, I wanted to post some of my favorites. I did the touch-up on them just playing around, so if you don't like it, then it's my fault, not hers.
-Thanks Julie
Two cute kids.

^ I love the look on Grayson's face in this one. It fits him perfetly!
Can you believe how much they look a like.
Addie, so cute.

First Day Of School!

Playing red light, green light
Going outside
Coloring and making a fireman headband
Music time

Titleless

So some of you mom's might be familiar with these little beads. They come with these plastic pattern shapes, and kids put the beads on the little posts in the pattern and then when they are done you have your mom iron it into a cute little useless image. Addie loves these and it is one of her favorite things to do while little brother is sleeping.
This morning I was on the phone (witch usually attracts my children to come want my attention) when Addie was saying "help, help, help, mom help".........

I turn around to this. Addie had one of those little beads all the way on her tooth. All the way! What are you suppose to say. Thanks again to my sister Julie for starting this blog for me because my thoughts turned from "why in the heck did you have that in your mouth" to "Oh crap, hold on while I get the camera." It took us a while to get the bead off but luckily she still had a tooth when we got it off.

My Playlist

So thanks to Natalie, I (the not so smart blogger) was able to place a playlist on our blog.
If there are any "Twilight" fans out there, I want you to listen to the first song. It's called CHASING CARS by Snow Patrol and it has nothing to do with the books, but I first heard it when I had completed the first book last fall and it has been my favorite song since. Just close your eyes and listen and think of Edward and Bella. Don't think about the "chasing cars" part to close, just think about the book. Let me know what you think. Maybe I'm just a little coo-coo.

No, Not the Blanket

I came across this picture and thought it was so cute. Grayson has a favorite green fuzzy blanket with elephants on it that he has loved since birth. He sleeps with it and usually has it somewhere in sight as he plays. Well as you all know favorite blankets do have to be washed from time to time. I try really hard to sneak it away and get it in the washer without him noticing. One day I forgot to put it in the dryer right when it was done washing, and sadly it was still drying when he wanted to take a nap. He walked all over the house looking for "banety". It was so funny in a sad sort of way. I finally told him that it was in the dryer because it needed to be washed. So he headed to the dryer and sobbed. He would try to open the dryer but couldn't quite get it. After a few minutes I got his blanket out, still a wee damp and he went to sleep.

Training Wheels.... Who needs them

A few weeks ago I was visiting with a neighbor and Addie had came with me to play with some friends. All the sudden she was riding someone elses' bike and it was then I noticed it did not have training wheels. I was so amazed. I first told her to be careful, then I ran and got Ryan and the camera.
Ever since that she always wants to go to their house and ride their bike, wicth they were fine with. I would ask her if she wanted her training wheels off and she would say "not until I am four." The other day her training wheel kinda fell apart. It was still usable but made an awful sound when she leaned to that side. I finally convinced her to take them off so she could show everybody at Graysons birthday. She thought that was a wonderful idea and even helped take them off herself. She did great. After a few minutes she was coming down the sidewalk with her feet off the pedals, straight out to the side saying "I don't even need my feet." Crazy girl.

Happy Birthday Grayson
We celebrated Grayson's 2nd birthday yesterday with family and friends. I can't believe he is already 2. He is the funnest little boy.
He is into cars at this time so we went with a little car theme. I made 18 cardboard cars for all his cousins and friends so that when they showed up they could pick a car and decorate it with paint and stickers. The kids (and some adults) really enjoyed it. We let the paint dry while we had his wonderfully decorated race track cake. One of those ideas that is really cute in your head but doesn't turn out nearly as cute. He loved it! After the cake we fitted everyones cars with shoulder straps and they had a parade up and down the street.
